Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the United Nations General Assembly Thursday and used his platform to warn the world– yet again– of the dangers of the Iran nuclear deal.
“Iran is setting up dozens of terror cells,” Netanyahu said. “Imagine what they will do after the sanctions are lifted.”
“Unmuzzled,” Iran will “go on the prowl, devouring more and more prey,” he said.
Again, he said the deal won’t prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. It’ll start a nuclear arms race in the Middle East and award Iran for bad behavior. Heck, we already know they’re going to fund terror groups with their access to $100-$150 billion in frozen assets. The Obama administration already admitted that.
“When bad behavior is awarded, it only gets worse,” Netanyahu said. “I’m gravely concerned the nuclear deal with Iran will prove to be the marriage certificate of that unholy union.”
He also pointed out that Iran is spending millions of dollars on satellites and weapons.
“Do you think Iran is doing that to advance peace?” he asked.
I’m gonna go with a big fat NO.
“And yet the response from every one of you here, utter silence,” he said. “Deafening silence.”
After he said that, he stopped and stared at everyone in the room for nearly 45 seconds– 45 seconds of deafening silence.
“If Iran’s rulers were working to destroy your countries, perhaps you’d be somewhat less enthusiastic about the deal,” Netanyahu said. “If Iran’s terror proxies were firing thousands of rockets at your cities, perhaps you’d be more measured in your praise.”
I’m ashamed of American leadership. I’m ashamed that we negotiated a deal with Iran, and I’m ashamed that we’re ignoring the cries of Israel.
