Some time ago, Mock told you about Elizabeth Laird, the elderly woman who hugs every soldier who is being deployed from or returning home to Fort Hood in Texas –

You just have to love her. Apparently, she’s famous for her hugs and the soldiers often look forward to meeting her.

Recently, news came out that Elizabeth was hospitalized with cancer and is now unable to continue her tradition of hugging soldiers. But instead of letting her story end there, soldiers are making it a point to let her know that she is remembered for her kindness –
