OUT OF CONTROL: New York City May Break Ties With Donald Trump For His Comments About Mexicans

I don't know anyone who is SERIOUSLY considering Donald Trump as a candidate for president (regardless of what the polls currently say). This is really just a media circus to divert attention from Hillary's latest scandal. And people clearly want to read about Trump's antics, so that's what the media give them.

According to this, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is reviewing the city's contracts with Trump after his comments about Mexicans during his campaign announcement speech –

New York City is reviewing its contracts with Donald Trump following comments by the developer and U.S. presidential candidate insulting Mexicans, Mayor Bill de Blasio said on Wednesday.

 

"Trump’s comments do not represent the values of inclusion and openness that define us as New Yorkers," the mayor said in a statement.

My take? All I have for this is a glorified shrug. Donald Trump is clearly a shrewd businessman and he's got a big mouth and a bombastic personality, which he uses to his advantage quite well. And he's a celebrity (not unlike the Kardashian clan), which the low-info crowd LOVES. People will continue to talk about him, he will continue to offend people while also making a lot of sense to others, and his stock will only rise with each new boycott that comes his way.

He's just like any politician, really.
