James Comey– the same James Comey who is, inexplicably, teaching a class on ethical leadership– is very concerned about everyone questioning the integrity of the FBI. You’d think he would’ve considered that before exonerating Hillary Clinton prior to the FBI interviewing her, but that would’ve been the respectable thing to do. We can’t expect top officials to operate with integrity. That’s crazy talk!
The other day, Comey, who’s notorious for tweeting shady vague quotes and passing them off as his commentary of the day, decided to break his quote streak and tweeted from his heart.
Special Agent Andrew McCabe stood tall over the last 8 months, when small people were trying to tear down an institution we all depend on. He served with distinction for two decades. I wish Andy well. I also wish continued strength for the rest of the FBI. America needs you.

He had to tweet about his sweetie, Andy. By the way, their devotion to each other goes both ways. One time, McCabe called off Ari Fleischer’s keynote address “for a major meeting of law enforcement directors from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and New Zealand” because Fleischer was “mildly critical” of Comey on TV.
On Monday, June 12, McCabe called me and said bluntly that he heard about what I said on the news and he made the decision to cancel my keynote speech. He said it was a particularly sensitive time for the FBI and, knowing what I said on the air, he thought his agents would be too upset to have me at the event.
I told him I thought his decision was “inappropriate.” I couldn’t believe he could be so thin-skinned that my mild remarks would lead him to cancel a counterterrorism training event. I also had a hard time believing his agents would be so upset by an opinion.
And that was that. I don’t know anything else about McCabe, other than what I have read in the press. But I do know that in this instance he demonstrated a “protect Comey at all costs” approach to his job that I find troubling.
It is McCabe’s right to be close to Comey. It is his right to see Comey as a mentor. But it was wrong of him to retaliate against someone because he didn’t like what they said about Comey on a news show. The FBI I know is better than this.
You can read Fleischer’s story in greater detail here. It speaks VOLUMES.
Anyway, Comey did it again. I guess he couldn’t find any quotes from Gandhi on the FBI. Hence, this Comey original.
All should appreciate the FBI speaking up. I wish more of our leaders would. But take heart: American history shows that, in the long run, weasels and liars never hold the field, so long as good people stand up. Not a lot of schools or streets named for Joe McCarthy.

Wait. Is he suggesting that lawmakers who believe the American people deserve the TRUTH are weasels and liars? We don’t deserve to know the truth?
I find that offensive.
There's a national police/ investigative force that has no legislative oversight. It's in Russia. It's called the FSB.
Why do you think there should be no oversight of the FBI?
— Rob Eno (@Robeno) February 1, 2018
You mean like the way you "spoke up" exonerating Hillary Clinton even before an investigation?
— Michael Norman (@mikenorman) February 2, 2018
Welp, I mean you're the expert on weasels–you've been studying one in the mirror for 60 whatever years

Well, don't expect a street named after you. You altered justice, led by Andy McCabe.
— Michelle Ossmann (@LibertyJoy50) February 2, 2018
HILLARY CLINTON DESERVED TO BE IN JAIL FOR HER CRIMES, BUT YOU COVERED IT UP FOR YOUR PAL BARRY!
— Joey Mann (@JTMann05) February 1, 2018
Keep in mind….you are tweeting freely, now, only because you failed the American citizens, and got fired. Andy….same thing. More to follow.
— VinceHarris (@VinceHarris) February 2, 2018
Nobody is demonizing the wonderful men and women who staff the FBI, rather a few corrupt, unelected bureaucrats in charge such as yourself.
— Will, of the People (@jordie_marshall) February 2, 2018
Well, minus Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
Comey really believes he’s some kind of misunderstood national hero. Can you imagine living under such delusion? He thinks we’re idiots, weasels and liars for questioning the FBI? Wow.
You are calling American Citizens weasels and liars. We want to see what is in the MEMO, that does not make us weasels and liars. Wow, I had no idea the @FBI was so political. #WeaselsAndLiars no class, unbelievable.
— Extreme Truckers (@extremetruckers) February 2, 2018
The only weasels and liars here are the leaders desperately trying to cover this up.
