Trump met with the Japanese Prime Minister Thursday at the White House to discuss Japan helping out with the Strait of Hormuz situation. It went swimmingly, and also, Trump is hilarious. First of all, how cute are they greeting each other?
This is so adorable. I thought the Japanese Prime Minister would bow. Instead she ran for a hug from the president, pic.twitter.com/eB7vEXm3n5

They genuinely seem so excited to see one another. It’s actually adorable. Then, in typical Trump fashion, he made a hilarious joke that has sent the left clutching their pearls (pun fully intended).
This might actually be Trump's funniest moment 😂

Japanese Reporter: Why didn't you tell us before you struck Iran?
Trump: "Why didn't you tell me about Pearl Harbor?" 💀🔥😂 pic.twitter.com/K1C85C4wzJ
It was meant to be funny. No one actually thought Trump expected to know about Pearl Harbor. Considering he wasn’t even alive yet. But, leave it to idiots like Jake Tapper to try and “fact check” the joke.
FWIW Prime Minister Takaichi was born 20 years after Pearl Harbor https://t.co/TIpOod3W2I

Trump was also not alive yet on Pearl Harbor Day, Jake. This was a joke about the importance of keeping surprises in war. As everyone with a functional brain recognized. https://t.co/NCwVAadltg

He also joked about how well Iran is doing.

Overall, it seems as though the meeting went really well. The Prime Minister is fully ready to have Japan help the US and to do what she can to get more countries on board. She stated that she would reach out to “many of the partners in the international community to achieve our objective together.” She too believes that Iran should never have a nuclear weapon, and that, “Japan condemns Iran’s actions, such as attacking the neighboring region, and also the de facto or effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz.” All of this is amazing, and we love to hear it. It all ended with the cutest little interaction.

Shout out to the Prime Minister and to Japan. Any help we can get to put an end to this thing as soon as possible is amazing.
