If you’ve been pregnant within the last four-ish years, I guarantee you’ve been greeted by some sort of poster at your OB/GYN’S office urging you to get vaccinated for COVID-19. The nurse leaves, and—BOOM—there it is, taped to the back of the door. It will be complete with some random stock image of a woman clutching her baby bump, and statements along the lines of, “It’s safe! It’s effective! It protects you and your baby! Get it now, you selfish monster! Do it! DOOOO ITTTTT!!! 👺👺👺”
Okay, maybe I added the last part. But I’m not too far off.
Every woman wants to protect her baby, so many undoubtedly followed their doctor’s instructions and received the vaccine. I don’t blame them a bit. Pregnancy is scary.
Personally, I opted out. I had a lot of reasons, but my two major sticking points were: I don’t like being bullied, and I really don’t like feeling like a lab rat. I figured if I waited long enough, time would tell if it was necessary. Either it was safe, or someone would inevitably come out and say “Whoopsie!” Unfortunately, the answer appears to have been the latter.
Today, the COVID vaccine for healthy children and healthy pregnant women has been removed from @CDCgov recommended immunization schedule. Bottom line: it’s common sense and it’s good science. We are now one step closer to realizing @POTUS’s promise to Make America Healthy Again. pic.twitter.com/Ytch2afCLP

But wait, there’s more.
The announcement follows the release of a report earlier this month from the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations on the potentially deadly side effects associated with COVID vaccines and the Biden administration’s lack of action to notify the American people.
The report is titled: “Failure to Warn: How Federal Health Agencies Downplayed the Risk of Myocarditis and Other Adverse Events Following COVID-19 Vaccination.” The investigation into the Biden administration’s handling of COVID vaccines found that officials “knew about the risks of myocarditis,” “downplayed the health concern,” and deliberately “delayed informing the public about the risk.”
Committee chair Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) said that the Biden administration covered up vaccine side effects to prevent “vaccine hesitancy,” but “in being concerned about that, they violated the inviolable principle of informed consent.”
The removal of this recommendation from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is great news, but it also makes me sad. How many people were hurt because of their rushed approval? The CDC won’t pay for this, nor will the pharmaceutical companies. Normal people who just wanted to protect their kids and unborn babies will. And that, to put it frankly, blows.
