This is just an epic virtue signal, honestly. Joe Wilson, a Republican Representative from South Carolina, introduced a resolution this week “Directing the Fine Arts Board to obtain a bust of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, for display in the House of Representatives wing of the United States Capitol.
A House resolution was introduced two days ago to put a bust of Zelensky in the House wing of the Capitol building.

No, I am not kidding. pic.twitter.com/ZK9v4rMnOT
I just can’t even with this right now. First, the Vice President and the Speaker of the House waved the Ukrainian flag in the Capitol building on the house floor after Zelenskyy lobbies for billions more in American taxpayer dollars, and now they want a freaking bust of the man in the Capitol Building like he’s some great American hero? Are they serious? Where? Next to Rosa Parks, Amelia Earhart, Sojourner Truth, Abraham Lincoln…
And can we take a second to appreciate the fact that the House of Representatives has an art collection? Considering we’re $31 trillion dollars in debt, I feel like maybe the congressional art collections are something we could… put on pause…? At least until Americans can feed their families, Chicago isn’t basically a war zone, millions of illegals are flooding across our border, and school kids aren’t wading through the feces and used drug needles from the homeless camps on the sidewalks. I just feel like that’s reasonable, right? Like maybe DON’T commission a bust of a foreign comedian-turned-president who has already taken tens of billions of American taxpayer money, and then DON’T prominently display his bust in our Capitol among those considered honored by our nation. Let’s not.
