Oh, the infighting. It’s beyond ugly at this point. And it’ll surely lead to our demise. We’re just watching it happen before our eyes, folks. Mock and I even have people yelling at us during our livestream every morning. It’s happening there, for crying out loud.
Red wave, my ass, amirite?
Here’s another perspective, in case you can stomach one:
I will always tell you the truth!

I understand why the Gaetz’s and the Boebert’s of the world want to turn things upside down. I do. But I also understand the dire need for us to get work done in this country – essential things that desperately need our attention, like the border, drugs that are killing our children, and an economy that’s in shambles. Just to name a few.
It’d be really nice if these people would just do their freaking jobs that I pay them WAY TOO MUCH TO DO. For once.

Oh, for God’s sake, do you actually think any of those “essential things” will be done by a House run by that corrupt creature McCarthy? And what is wrong with someone finally fighting back against these corrupt people destroying our country? You think they should all just stop and vote that creature in and then everything will be just hunky-dory? Did you think this through? Are you not aware that these corrupt GOPers are owned by the Left and have no intention of fixing anything. I’m just flabbergasted at this article.

So everyone should just cave to the “establishment” wing of the Party. The wing who has lost for the last 100 years?
Conservatives come in and win elections (Reagan, Contract With America, Tea Party) then the same old “leadership” rejects them and goes on their merry way creeping toward the “Progressive”/socialist/communist goals, just at a slower pace than Democrats. How is that secure border Reagan made the amnesty deal for? The balanced budget Newt promised (Hell, we haven’t even had a budget since 2009)? The Obamacare repeal we were promised with the Tea Party?
Trump had the presidency, a Republican House, and a Republican Senate, how much of the problems of “the border, drugs that are killing our children, and an economy that’s in shambles” did they fix? There was no border wall passed (again), the energy sector was left in the lurch, and spending was through the roof. Yes, there were tax cuts, and Trump cut regulations and used (unconstitutional) executive actions to do some stuff around the edges, but Congress basically did nothing (aside from tax cuts). And those are the people we should drop every bargaining chip for so they can “get work done in this country”?
When are Conservatives expected to stand up and say, “No!”? Should we forever bow to the 54% Liberty Score McCarthy and 44% McConnell? Should we never fight for even a D- “leader”?
There are still, what, 18 days until the next session? What does it really matter if they keep voting for Speaker?
Wow, finally the conservative wing of the party is actually representing its constituents and sure enough, the moderates want to cave. This is what it looks like when the system works. This is what draining the swamp is. What work do you want McCarthy to get done, more irresponsible spending and Biden agendas?
Do you really think any of the things you are talking about will be done even with the House not fighting with itself?
We don’t have enough political power to do anything you are suggesting needs to be done so why not let them try to get some of the smaller changes put into place with what little they do have?
Yes! So far I’ve seen things like debate bills, offer amendments, border security votes, term limits votes, etc. as the things the hold outs are asking for. If they need to throw a monkey wrench in the works for a few days to get that, I say more power to them.
I’m at the point now I hope they NEVER pick a Speaker. Ever notice how with Congress, like the Twitter firings, the fewer people there are around to botch things up the better it works?
“Getting back to the work of the American people” seems to be phrase often used by political types. They seem to believe they’re being “graded” on the volume of claptrap they produce and not the quality. Personally, I’d like to see them start cancelling/ending/sunsetting laws.
