It’s official. New York City has officially gone off the deep end. The New York City Council and Board of Health passed legislation to add a third gender option– “X”– to birth certificates, and Bill de Blasio happily obliged.
Everyone has a right to their own identity. Everyone has a right to be themselves. That's why New Yorkers can now change their gender to M, F, or X on their birth certificate. To our transgender and gender non-binary neighbors, New York City sees you and has your back. pic.twitter.com/isKyClDK14

It’s official. It went into effect January 1st. This is now A Thing. NYC is allowing residents to identify as neither male or female, even though those are the only two actual options, according to this little thing called biology.
Parents had already been able to select ‘undetermined’ or ‘unknown’ for newborns, but the new measure would allow adults to select ‘X’ on their own birth certificates.
According to the NYC Health website, transgender and gender non-binary New Yorkers will only need a notarized affidavit to affirm their gender identity for the change to the documentation.
I still can’t get over that. Can you imagine having a child and refusing to attach a gender to it? Some people actually do that. They consider identifying and acknowledging a child’s gender an archaic practice.
New York City now joins four states, Oregon, California, Washington and New Jersey, in offering non-binary gender options on birth certificates.
This is what “progressivism” looks like. Soak it all in.
