It’s official. The Supreme Court will hear arguments on President Trump’s controversial travel order this fall. For now, the ban is partially reinstated.
However, a number of lawmakers are calling on Justice Ginsburg to recuse herself from this case. Why? She’s expressed her disdain for President Trump in the past. She’s not exactly the most unbiased individual. Last year, she entertained the idea moving to New Zealand if Trump become president.
“I can’t imagine what this place would be — I can’t imagine what the country would be — with Donald Trump as our president,” Ginsburg said. “For the country, it could be four years. For the court, it could be — I don’t even want to contemplate that.”
At the time I wrote, “Legal experts now say Ginsburg is dragging the entire Court into the political arena. What if the Supreme Court hears a case involving or relating to Trump? Would we not have good reason to question Ginsburg’s impartiality?”
Um, YES. Here we are. Questioning her impartiality. Hence, the letter. It reads in part-
“As an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, you are required to recuse yourself in cases in which your “impartiality might reasonably be questioned,” and where you have “a personal bias or prejudice concerning a party.”
…There is no doubt that your impartiality can be reasonably questioned; indeed, it would be unreasonable not to question your impartiality. Failure to recuse yourself from any such case would violate the law and undermine the credibility of the Supreme Court of the United States.”

Justice Ginsburg has demonstrated an anti-Trump bias and her actions have caused her impartiality to be in question.

We write to Ginsburg: no doubt that your impartiality can be reasonably questioned…would be unreasonable not to question impartiality.

She should recuse herself, right Democrats? I mean, if this were the other way around, they’d be demanding it.
Personally, I’d rather see Ginsburg retire altogether. Because she’s senile. And 4,000 years old.
