The Left has demonstrated, time and time again, that when it comes to furthering their own agenda, the TRUTH doesn’t matter. It’s all about the narrative.

Which I suppose is why Kamala Harris has no problem sharing this wildly misleading meme:

First, do we REALLY have to explain that people weren’t killed BY guns?

They were killed WITH guns.

Guns don’t sprout legs, run up to you, and decide to shoot you. That’s not how that works. PEOPLE kill people WITH guns.

Anyway- that’s not even the main issue here. The main issue is that this number is wildly skewed.

Kamala Harris posted this misleading graphic to her Facebook page.

She fails to inform people that approximately 75-80% of those deaths are from suicides.

Out of the remaining deaths, 55-65% are drug and gang-related.

75-80% of those deaths were suicides. If we take the LOW number, that’s 30,000 people who should not be counted as “gun deaths.” These are suicide deaths, and those who chose to end their lives would have likely found another way to do it if a gun was not available to them.

To include suicide deaths in the gun death total isn’t just misleading – it completely ignores a sad and epidemic problem we DO have in America.

Getting rid of GUNS will not solve the suicide problem.

So – of the 10,000 deaths that are what we would consider actual “gun deaths” 55% are gang or drug-related.

AKA THESE PEOPLE PROBABLY DIDN’T OWN THEIR GUNS LEGALLY IN THE FIRST PLACE.

Stricter gun laws will do nothing to stop those who ARE ALREADY BREAKING THE LAW.

Gang members and drug cartels won’t soon surrender their weapons to Kamala Harris.

So that leaves 4,500 gun deaths.  These are the deaths “stricter gun control” aims to solve. (Note that this number DOES include those who were shot in self-defense. Clearly, the death of ONE innocent person is one too many – but tell me how much Kamala cares about the innocent vs. how much she cares about the narrative.

If she cares about saving lives and keeping people safe, she wouldn’t do so by spouting NONSENSE. She’d address the REALITIES this nation faces.
