WATCH: Will the college admissions scandal take down Lori Loughlin’s career?
Lori Loughlin is basically screwed.
She and her husband idiotically turn down a plea bargain, because they thought the district attorney was “bluffing.”
Dumbest move ever.
Oh. And now one of her daughters is under criminal investigation, so that’s interesting. (I’m glad, actually. In the very least, their daughters were complicit. Let’s be real.)
However, we need to stop talking so bad about her family’s actions. She’s OUTRAGED that society is calling them out for being dirty, rotten cheaters. OUTRAGED, I say.
After pleading not guilty earlier this week, a source tells PEOPLE that the couple resents how the case is playing out in the public eye.
“This is putting unspeakable stress on her and her family,” a source close to Loughlin tells PEOPLE. “They’re having to play this all out publicly, and they’re fair game for jokes and memes, but also outraged [by] people who are saying that they are cheaters.”
“They’re being destroyed,” the source adds.
I’m sorry. Am I supposed to feel bad for them?
They can be outraged by the title “cheater” all they want, but they are cheaters. They bribed colleges to get their girls into school. That’s CHEATING.
We’re not destroying them. They only have themselves to blame. They tarnished their own reputations. They destroyed themselves. It’s time to take responsibility. They’re not above the law and are clearly having a hard time realizing that.
