Biden Team Says ‘Right Wing Trolls’ Are to Blame for Creepy Photos of Him

Biden isn’t officially in the race, but it’s already starting. Last week, former Democratic candidate Lucy Flores came forward and accused Biden of planting an unwanted kiss on the back of her head ahead of a rally in Las Vegas in 2014.

“I found my way to the holding room for the speakers, where everyone was chatting, taking photos, and getting ready to speak to the hundreds of voters in the audience. Just before the speeches, we were ushered to the side of the stage where we were lined up by order of introduction. As I was taking deep breaths and preparing myself to make my case to the crowd, I felt two hands on my shoulders,” she wrote. “I froze. ‘Why is the vice-president of the United States touching me?’”

“I felt him get closer to me from behind. He leaned further in and inhaled my hair. I was mortified. I thought to myself, ‘I didn’t wash my hair today and the vice-president of the United States is smelling it. And also, what in the actual f*ck? Why is the vice-president of the United States smelling my hair?’ He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head,” she continued.

She said her brain “couldn’t process what was happening.”

Biden spokesman Bill Russo released a statement on Biden’s behalf.

“Vice President Biden was pleased to support Lucy Flores’s candidacy for Lieutenant Governor of Nevada in 2014 and to speak on her behalf at a well-attended public event,” he said in a statement. “Neither then, nor in the years since, did he or the staff with him at the time have an inkling that Ms. Flores had been at any time uncomfortable, nor do they recall what she describes.”

It didn’t end there. On Monday, a second accuser stepped forward. Amy Lappos accused Biden of harassing her at a fundraising event back in 2009. She said it wasn’t sexual, but he grabbed her by the head and rubbed noses with her, which disturbed her.

“It wasn’t sexual, but he did grab me by the head,” Lappos said. “He put his hand around my neck and pulled me in to rub noses with me. When he was pulling me in, I thought he was going to kiss me on the mouth.”

“I never filed a complaint, to be honest, because he was the vice president. I was a nobody,” she continued. “There’s absolutely a line of decency. There’s a line of respect. Crossing that line is not grandfatherly. It’s not cultural. It’s not affection. It’s sexism or misogyny.”

The Biden camp’s response? Right-wing trolls! Yes, really. The Biden camp is blaming “right-wing trolls” from “the dark recesses of the internet” for the circulation of photos showing Biden creepishly close to women.

“These smears and forgeries have existed in the dark recesses of the internet for a while,” Russo said. “And to this day, right wing trolls and others continue to exploit them.”

Newsflash, Biden peeps. I’m sure there are photoshopped memes out there, but we didn’t photoshop those popular images. Whether you like it or not, Biden is kinda sorta known for getting uncomfortably close to women. Spin it anyway you want, but the pictures exist. They’re not doctored.
