According to this, Obama couldn’t fill a 2200 seat auditorium in Miami for a recent fundraiser.
Now, you might be thinking that fundraisers are obviously different than rallies, to which everyone and anyone can come for free. And I would agree with you. Except that tickets to this particular fundraiser were as low as $44, and yet he STILL couldn’t even break the 1000-person mark.
The way I see it, this could be for one of several reasons:
1. People have lost that tingly-leg feeling.
2. The organizers of this event SUCKED at promoting it (which is kinda hilarious, given that the President himself is a COMMUNITY ORGANIZER).
3. People in Miami have developed Actual Brains.
4. People in Miami are completely broke because of Obama’s stupid economic policies, and can’t afford to PAY to see him talk about how awesome of a job he’s done with the economy.
A “Democratic official” of some sort downplayed their expectations, and said they ONLY expected 900 people, and more than 980 tickets sold!!!
Apparently, the theme of Obama’s campaign this go around will be less “YES WE CAN” and more “DON’T FIRE ME WE’RE STILL NOT DONE!” He said, “The reason we’re here today is because our work’s not done. Our work is not complete. We’re not at the summit. We’re just part way up the mountain. There is more to do.“
I wonder how many other variations of that same sentence he could have thrown in there. We get it, Barry. The destruction is not yet complete. WE GET IT.
