Watch: Andrew Cuomo Makes An Astonishing Announcement And It’s All Trump’s Fault
[/membership]
Gee. I wonder how this happened.
NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo just announced that his state is seeing a $2.3 billion budget deficit.
New York State is facing a $2.3 billion budget deficit, and Gov. Andrew Cuomo believes it’s largely due to the Trump administration’s tax reforms which, on the “flip side,” have taxed the rich and may be encouraging wealthy residents to leave.
President Trump’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which takes effect for the 2018 tax year, places a cap on the state and local tax deduction (known as SALT) that Americans can take. Residents of largely blue states with relatively high state and local taxes are adversely affected, Cuomo says, by the new cap of a $10,000 deduction. New York state’s average SALT deduction was around $22,000 before the law changed.
Wow. You’re meaning to tell me that rich people will LEAVE states that continue to abuse their wallets, and that hurts the entire state as a whole? Say it isn’t so!
I’m actually surprised Cuomo made this admission:
Cuomo said the super-wealthy in New York – accounting for 1 percent of tax filers – end up paying 46 percent of the personal income taxes the state collects each year.
“Tax the rich. Tax the rich. Tax the rich. We did that. God forbid the rich leave,” Cuomo said of a mobile group of people who can more easily switch residences to states with lower state and local tax levels.
Libs constantly demonize rich people and continue to abuse their wallets, and naturally, wealthy people take their wealth elsewhere. Then libs stand around and panic because “OMG WHERE’D DA MONIES GO FAM?”
Just to recap, rich people are evil and wealth is unfair, but also people like AOC need those “evil” rich people to support their “free everything” pipe dreams.
That’s quite the conundrum.
