The first SNL of the year aired last night, and whaddya know. They opened with a sketch on the government shutdown.
Kenan Thompson played Steve Harvey and Alec Baldwin played Trump, and they did a little game of “Deal or No Deal.”
“Earlier today you went on TV and you told the American people that you wanted to make a deal,” Thompson said. “So we decided to do this in the only format that you can understand: a TV game show with women holding briefcases.”
I almost feel bad for them. This is all they’ve got at this point.
I will say that Kate McKinnon did a really solid Nancy Pelosi.

It wasn’t their worst sketch, but it definitely wasn’t their best. That’s all I’ll say about it.
