There’s a big snowstorm slamming the northeast this weekend. We’ve been calling our family up in New Hampshire for updates. If I remember correctly, they’re expected to get at least 18 inches of snow.
The snowstorm that caused nearly a thousand flights to be canceled at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport is expected to bring difficult and dangerous travel to a large swath of the Northeast through at least Sunday.
A state of emergency has been declared in Pennsylvania and New Jersey ahead of the storm’s arrival. This includes vehicle restrictions on highways across the states.
“Feet of snow, blizzard conditions, a significant build-up of ice, tree-breaking winds and plunging temperatures will close roads, cause flight cancellations and disrupt daily activities over a large part of the northeastern United States this weekend,” AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Alex Sosnowski said.
The snowstorm will be followed up by a blast of brutally cold air on Sunday night which could be dangerous for those left without power in the wake of the storm.
I’m not going to lie. This Florida girl wishes she was there! There’s nothing I love more than getting all cozy with fuzzy socks and coffee and watching the snow fall outside. Trust me– I know I’d get sick of it if I had to deal with it all the time, but it’s still a novelty to me.
ANYWAY. Everyone in the path of the storm: STAY SAFE. Stay inside and watch football. Don’t take it from me– take it from POTUS.
Be careful and try staying in your house. Large parts of the Country are suffering from tremendous amounts of snow and near record setting cold. Amazing how big this system is. Wouldn’t be bad to have a little of that good old fashioned Global Warming right now!

HAHAHA. He only says stuff like that, because he knows it tweaks the left. Not gonna lie– I’m all for it.
Seriously though: Everyone STAY SAFE.
