Ariana Grande released the highly anticipated music video for “Thank U, Next” yesterday. Everyone on social media was buzzing about it. The song is basically about her past relationships and finding herself and yada yada yada. The subject has been the talk of the town anyway, because she recently “dipped” on her engagement with Pete Davidson, and that whole relationship was SUPER public.
In the music video, she spoofs a bunch of classic teen rom-coms– “Mean Girls,” “Legally Blonde,” “Bring It On,” and “13 Going On 30.”
She even has cameos by the ORIGINAL Aaron Samuels (Jonathan Bennett) and Kris Jenner.
Don’t hate me, but the Kris Jenner cameo is actually really funny.

There were a WHOLE lot of a reasons everyone was anticipating this video. They did a fantastic job of amping it up. Heck, I was even curious to watch it, and I don’t even like that song.
The video SMASHED YouTube records, reaching over 1 million views in 34 minutes. Here it is:
As of this post, the video had– wait for it– 43,936,366 views. It hasn’t even been up an entire DAY. Holy crap.
PS– Anyone else getting Regina vibes from Lindsay?
