I think the entire time Beto Boy was running against Cruz, it was pretty obvious he wasn’t running a campaign in Texas… he was running a NATIONAL campaign. He had Democratic support (and HYUGE sums of money) coming in from all over the country.
Did Beto ever REALLY have his sights set on Texas?
…or was he looking at 2020?
A DAY before the midterms, he pretended to put those rumors to rest:
“I will not be a candidate for president in 2020,” Beto O’Rourke tells @GarrettHaake.
“That’s I think as definitive as those sentences get.” https://t.co/aLDxTCMo4q pic.twitter.com/jPdiTZHOiS

And I vowed to hold him to it…
Now, less than a week and a half later, our buddy Beto is changing his tune.
According to Daily Caller:
Former Democratic Senate hopeful Beto O’Rourke stated that he had no intention of running for president prior to the election, but he appeared to have changed his mind by the time TMZ caught up with him on Friday.
A TMZ cameraman approached O’Rourke near the White House and asked if had any intentions of running for the 2020 Democratic nomination.
He said, “It’s been a little bit more than a week since we lost this election and ran this race, and I’m still taking that in and trying to figure out just where I am and where my family is, so, no, we haven’t really been able to talk—.”
“So it sounds like you might be open to it, possibly?” the reporter then asked.
“You know … I haven’t made any decisions about anything is probably the best way for me to put it,” O’Rourke responded. “I think everything’s too fresh still for me.”
PSSSSH.
“I haven’t made any decisions about anything” sounds pretty different than “I will not be a candidate for president in 2020. That’s I think as definitive as those sentences get.”
It’s cute how he’s trying to pretend he actually thought he would win Texas.
It’s still too FRESH, y’all. He’s still too DEVASTATED.
And it’s not like that’s the only time he said he wouldn’t run, either. He was preeeetty clear about it:
Back in October, the Democratic representative told CNN’s Dana Bash that he had no intention of running. He said, “It’s a definitive no. Let me put it this way: I promise to you and most importantly to the people of Texas that I’ll serve every single day of a six-year term in the United States Senate and I won’t leave this state to go run for president.”
Heh. It’s almost like this was his plan all along and he LIED to us.
SHOCKING.
PS
O’Rourke came in third in a new poll published on Monday by POLITICO/Morning Consult surveying people who they wanted to run for the Democrats in 2020. The top choice was former Vice President Joe Biden (26 percent), previous presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders (19 percent) and O’Rourke (eight percent).
OH. MAH. GAWD.
THREE WHITE MEN.
The Democrats are RACIST MISOGYNISTS, obviously.
