PA Senate Candidate Calls Out Dem Opponent For Targeting His Cancer-Stricken Baby Grandson

Republican Pennsylvania Senate candidate Lou Barletta called his Democratic opponent’s latest campaign ad “evil” after using his CANCER STRICKEN GRANDSON as a tool against him.

The ad featured a mother talking about her own twin daughters’ cancer diagnosis, and how they were both cured… but “But if Lou Barletta has his way, kids like could be denied the care they need.”

Barletta had previously confided in his opponent that his young twin grandson was undergoing cancer treatment.

Bob Casey just released an insensitive and personal attack ad accusing Lou Barletta of wanting to rip away health care from twin children with cancer, after Lou personally told Casey of his 18-month-old twin grandson currently undergoing chemo for cancer. According to Fox: 

Barletta said on Fox & Friends that he didn’t think anyone could stoop to the “all-time low” treatment seen with Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

“To see this commercial is evil,” Barletta said on Tuesday. “That’s the only way I could describe it. It’s evil.”

He called the ad “a lie” and added he wouldn’t support anything that would deny health coverage to those with pre-existing conditions.

Barletta said that Casey’s ad shows how “desperate” he is.

“You wouldn’t do this unless you felt that you had to, to hurt a family for political purposes,” Barletta said. “It’s just wrong.”

Absolutely disgusting.

The ad has now been pulled in ONE region of Pennsylvania.

The ad was pulled from Barletta’s home market of Scranton by Casey’s campaign on Monday, but will air in the rest of Pennsylvania’s markets.

In a statement, Casey said that the parallel to Barletta’s personal situation was unintentional, according to CBS 2 Pittsburgh.

REALLY?!

He just casually FORGOT that Barletta had mentioned his TWIN grandson with CANCER?!

It seems like an awfully odd coincidence to me…
