Republican Sen. Steve Daines won’t be present for Saturday’s possible confirmation vote on Brett Kavanaugh. His daughter’s wedding is that day, and he wants to walk her down the aisle. I OBVIOUSLY don’t hold that against him. How was he or his daughter supposed to know everything would go down this way? The timing just SUCKS.
Spokeswoman for @SteveDaines confirms that he will indeed be walking his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day on Saturday, won’t be present for a Kavanaugh confirmation vote if it happens then. 👰

This sucks. So basically, Kavanaugh’s confirmation is hinging on Manchin, Collins, Flake and Murkowski.
GOP MT Sen Steve Daines will not be available on Saturday for Kavanaugh confirmation vote. Will be at his daughter's wedding. This means McConnell needs all 50 GOPers present to vote yes unless he gets help from Dem Manchin. Pence would not be able to break tie w/99 sens voting
