There are a lot of different takes on Ford’s testimony. A lot of people on our side viewed her testimony as credible and convincing. I was not one of those people. I’m purely speaking for myself here, but I got phony vibes. Maybe something happened to her at some point. Maybe she’s a victim of something. Maybe the Democrats are using a weak, vulnerable woman to get their way. What’s the alternative? She’s just as conniving as the rest of them and put on her best show.
It has to be one of those two options. That’s all I’m saying.
I just didn’t buy anything about her. Her little girl cadence. Her borderline crackly voice. Her inability to shed tears. Her whole, “I’m just a victim who needs some caffeine” shtick.” I’m PURELY speaking for myself here, but I don’t think any of that was genuine. Feinstein PRAISED Ford as a distinguished career woman. Really? She’s a psychologist who got confused by basic questions.
ANYWAY. That’s just my take. In other news, Star Wars actress Rachel Butera got in big trouble for mocking Christine Blasey Ford’s voice.
“I don’t know if anybody is listening to the Dr. Blasey Ford testimony about Brett Kavanaugh but this is how I sound,” she said in the video. “I know it’s a surprise to even me that I talk this way and I’m a doctor and a grown woman. I sound like I’m still back at that high school party…um…I can’t help it, I just have this kind of voice like a baby, even though I’m a doctor. And I’m on this media circus, political stage, and I have kids myself. I don’t know why I speak with vocal fry, um, but you can listen to my testimony and hear that a grown woman sounds this way. Dr. Blasey Ford, thank you.”

Say what you want, but she NAILED that impression.
She eventually apologized, because OF COURSE she did.
“I am seriously sorry I honestly didn’t think this would offend anyone I just thought I was imitating the voice,” she wrote. “I was by no means mocking a rape victim. I am 100% on Christine Blasey Ford’s side! I am just a vocal impressionist and decided to imitate her voice but it was a mistake. I apologize and I believe ALL women.”
Dumb apology. We’re now expected to pledge to believe all women no matter what? Sorry. I’m not doing that. Not now or ever.
But it looks like her Twitter was deleted. Everyone’s SO MAD at her.
Two hours before @RachelAButera posted this disgusting video, she announced that she was voicing Leia for Disney. That tweet has been deleted. https://t.co/P78HD1aQVH

Screw deleting- .@starwars needs to FIRE you. You do not deserve to utter one word as Leia. Leia is a hero, a leader and a person to look up to. You are trash who makes fun of sexual assault survivors. I will not allow my child to watch the show as long as you are employed.

So because of Rachel Butera you’re all going to boycott Star Wars Resistance?
Good idea.. nullify all of the other great work the other guys and girls have done just because of her.

I can't figure out which was worse, the cruelty or the sheer ignorance of the video Rachel Butera posted. For someone that hateful and clueless to voice Leia? Yeah, I'm going to take that off my list of shows to watch. https://t.co/lGpz0IAcil

Both Carrie Fisher & Leia Organa would be so disappointed with Rachel Butera and the video she released today mocking Dr. Ford.

I promise you I will never watch a single show featuring Rachel Butera’s voice. For as long as I live I will remember she made fun of a victim of sexual assault @Disney @Nickelodeon
Not one single show. Ever.!

@WaltDisneyCo @starwars We aren't about to ignore that Rachel Butera tweeted video, are we?
Because seriously, mocking a woman going through an emotional day where she is in a Senate hearing testifying about a sexual assault?
That's not my General Leia, thanks.

There’s no coming back from that. It doesn’t matter how many times she says she’s on Ford’s side.
