Democratic Lawmaker Wants To Investigate Nikki Haley’s Curtains

As in, the things that cover your windows. Yes, really.

It all started with a “hit piece” by the New York Times. I say “hit piece,” because it’s pathetic beyond belief.

The State Department spent $52,701 last year buying customized and mechanized curtains for the picture windows in Nikki R. Haley’s official residence as ambassador to the United Nations, just as the department was undergoing deep budget cuts and had frozen hiring.

Just two problems.

1.) This happened in 2016 under the Obama administration’s orders.
2.) Nikki Haley had no say.

A spokesman for Ms. Haley said plans to buy the curtains were made in 2016, during the Obama administration. Ms. Haley had no say in the purchase, he said.

Oh. Awk.

Yes I did read the article. That's why I wrote the tweet that way. I'm calling for an oversight hearing on State Department spending on Nikki Haley and her Deputy. There should be bipartisan support for this hearing.
