I did not watch the VMAs. If I’m going to watch trash TV on a Monday night, you better believe it’s going to be something like “Bachelor in Paradise.” I’d argue that it’s more substantive than the VMAs. You can learn VALUABLE life lessons on what NOT to do when you’re stuck at a resort full of desperate, single people.
Better that than the incessant Trump bashing at the VMAs. They didn’t even hesitate. Kevin Hart went right for it, which was surprising because his spokesperson JUST defended him for being one of the few comedians who hasn’t incorporated Trump into his routine.
“Everyone has something to say about Donald Trump, and that’s the reason Kevin isn’t speaking on him. Kevin honestly feels the Trump bits are overused and knows that people are tired of the political banter from comedians,” Hart’s spokesperson said back in June.
Evidently, he’s had a change of heart. He was talking about all the “crazy” stuff that happens during award shows and was all, “Beefs pop off, bad language, people run to the bathroom and send out crazy tweets…It’s basically like a typical day in the White House.” Oh! And for good measure, he ended his tirade by shouting, “In your face, Trump! Suck it!”
The #VMAs are so big that we couldn't just call one comedian, we needed both @KevinHart4real AND @TiffanyHaddish 🔥🔥🔥 pic.twitter.com/COMO8GYQKx

Wow! Original! COMEDY! Knee-slappers all around!
To be fair, that remark alone really wasn’t that bad, but it’s lame as heck that he caved.
Oh, he also “went there” with the national anthem protests too.
“Understand that we are live, coast to coast right now, I’m looking at this like it’s game day people,” he said.
“But do not worry, because at this game you are allowed to kneel, you can do whatever you want because no old white man can stop you, do it,” he added.
Oh, shut up.
He caved. What a spineless wuss.
