Non Citizens Are Finding It “Easy” To Register To Vote. Raise Your Hand If You’re Surprised By This.

Did y’all watch the Tampa Trump rally last night? It was typically Trumpy – rallies are when he’s at his best, and one of the things he mentioned, kinda out of the blue, was that he wants Voter ID. Not that I expected him to be AGAINST Voter ID, of course, but he hasn’t mentioned it recently, and I noticed. He said, “The time has come for voter ID, like everything else. If you go out and you want to buy groceries, you need a picture on a card, you need ID. You go out and you want to buy anything, you need ID. And you need your picture. In this country the only time you don’t need it in many cases is when you want to vote for a president, when you want to vote for a senator, when you want to vote for a governor or a congressman. It’s crazy. It’s crazy. But we are turning it around.”

He’s absolutely right, of course. If you’re a person who is OPPOSED to voter ID, you are a person who wants non-citizens to easily vote. Period. Don’t give me this crap about requiring proof of citizenship being a hardship or racist or whatever other nonsense excuse people try to use. If you think acquiring an ID is somehow more difficult for minorities than non-minorities, YOU ARE RACIST.

According to this, some folks who aren’t citizens are being added to voter rolls without their knowledge, and subsequently being sent mail in ballots for elections.

Noncitizens are signing up to vote in states including Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Virginia, according to research by the Public Interest Legal Foundation, a nonprofit law firm that advocates for election integrity. The foundation found that a large percentage of those noncitizens managed to cast ballots, too.

Logan Churchwell, communications and research director for Public Interest Legal Foundation, said, “Our voter registration system masks noncitizens and allows the opportunity to vote until they decide to self-report at their own peril. All of this could have been prevented if states actually verified citizen eligibility upfront.”

Gee. Ya think?

Anyway, I’m glad to see this is back on Trump’s radar.
