Well well well. Isn’t this something else?
According to this report from the Daily Mail, Michael Cohen recorded a conversation between himself and CNN’s Chris Cuomo. In it, the two talk about the payment made to Stormy Daniels, and Cohen straight up said, “I did it on my own.”
The conversation took place after Cohen told Cuomo he wasn’t running a tape, before proceeding to recording the entire conversation.
‘It was Michael Cohen’s habit for many years to record conversations in lieu of taking notes,’ said Lanny Davis, a lawyer for Cohen told the Journal. ‘He had no intention of ever publicizing such tapes nor any intention to ever deceive anyone.’
The chat between Cohen and Cuomo took place after it was reported that Cohen arranged the payment to Daniels.
A spokeswoman for CNN declined to comment for Cuomo and he did not comment on the incident on Cuomo Prime Time on Wednesday.
Huhhhhh. Imagine that. Cuomo had not comment. I wonder why that is?
Cohen, too, insisted he made the payoff decision on his own, drawing on a home equity line of credit for the money.
It has since emerged that Trump had reimbursed Cohen for loans of between $100,00 and $250,000 – paying back ‘expenses’ for the lawyer who paid Daniels.
So many tapes. So much drama, and I only expect more of it.
