Trump spoke at a VFW convention on Tuesday and invited a 94-year-old veteran on stage– Sgt. Alan Jones! He was SO excited to be able to stand next to the President of the United States. He said it was one of the highlights of his life, and President Trump looked just as honored to give him the floor.
“My children are watching me today, hopefully, to know that their dad got to stand beside the President of the United States,” Jones said.
Jones actually asked Trump if he could visit him the Oval Office for his 95th birthday, and Trump didn’t even hesitate.
“Yes,” he said. “Anytime you want.”
“God bless you, Mr. President, and I wish you well in the future,” Jones said.
