The New York Daily News announced MASSIVE layoffs today.
Among them, their ENTIRE social media team.
Candace Amos, one of the fired employees, tweeted the following:
The whole entire @NYDailyNews social media team was just let go by Tronc. There are no updates to any stories being pushed right now. #transitions

A few hours later, this popped up on the New York Daily News’ Twitter account… and I must admit I CRACKED UP.

If they let the whole social team go, who’s gonna change the password?

I hope the person who posted the Pulp Fiction .gif changed the password before they left. 😄

As someone who works in social media, I can all but guarantee that there is no one outside of that team that knows how to access the google spreadsheet or on the email chain where the password is located.
Meaning they probably wouldn’t even have had to change it 😂😂😂

Doesn’t everyone kinda wish they could do something like this to a former employer?
So… is anyone surprised FLAMING Trump Derangement Syndrome isn’t good for business?
