To protect, serve, and…deliver packages?
Some police officers in Fishers, Indiana went above and beyond their job description after arresting a delivery driver who fled from a traffic stop.
A post on the Fishers Police department page read:
Not Your Average Delivery
Yesterday, Fishers Police officers found themselves making some unexpected deliveries. After arresting a man who fled from a traffic stop, crashed, and ran on foot, all while working as a delivery driver, officers were left with dozens of undelivered packages in the vehicle.
To ensure Fishers residents still received what they were expecting, our officers took the time to deliver nearly 50 packages themselves. This is just another example of their dedication to serving our community in every way they can.
This story is so sweet, especially this time of year. That truck was probably full of Christmas gift orders, and I love that rather than ignoring the packages they decided just to take care of it themselves.
But also…I would probably have a mini heart attack if the police randomly knocked on my door with one of my packages in tow. The Ring doorbell footage from one of the deliveries is priceless, so be sure to check that out.
