January 31, 2025Guantanamo Bay is about to get BUSY under the Trump administration. The famous detention camp, which has historically been used to house terrorists and the like, will now also be home to 30,000 illegal aliens. I mean, “recycle, reuse and repurpose” amirite?
President Donald Trump announced Wednesday he would instruct the Pentagon to prepare Guantanamo Bay to detain 30,000 “criminal illegal aliens.”
“Today I’m also signing an executive order to instruct the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security to begin preparing the 30,000-person migrant facility at Guantanamo Bay,” Trump said. “Most people don’t even know about it.”
It was later learned that Trump signed a presidential memorandum, not an executive order, on the matter.
He said there are 30,000 beds at Guantanamo to house the detainees who pose a threat to the American public, adding that putting them there will ensure they do not come back.
“Some of them are so bad, we don’t even trust their countries to hold them because we don’t want them coming back,” Trump said. “We’re going to send them to Guantanamo.”
Dang, son. Those are some bad dudes.
I like this idea. This location has been used to house the worst of the worst in the past, and it only makes sense to send the most dangerous illegal aliens here. Keeping our citizens safe is a top priority and utilizing this remote location to keep criminals away from the public is a smart move.
I’m sure we will hear some sob stories from the media about those poor, misunderstood cartel members who are shipped to Guantanamo. But frankly, I don’t care. Stories like Laken Riley’s are a somber reminder that the innocent need to be protected. I’m grateful our leaders seem to finally realize that.
