You know crime is getting out of hand when even the elites are getting repeatedly robbed in Commiefornia. That has been the case with actress Goldie Hawn, who has not just had her home burglarized once in recent months, but TWICE.
“It’s just because L.A. is terrible. I mean, we were robbed once,” she added.
Hawn went on to describe what happened the first time her home was burglarized. She said she and Russell were out of the house for just two hours before coming back home to discover what happened.
“We came back and went in the house. I went up to the stairs and I walked into my closet. I just lost it,” Hawn said. “They had broken in from the balcony to our bedroom, our closets.”
She continued, “And they completely knocked down my door, which is a safe door, so they’re very, very sophisticated, and they got a lot of my goodies, if you know what I mean.”
If safe doors are getting knocked down, I can only imagine what the average Joe is dealing with. They might as well just leave their car unlocked with a welcome mat next to it at this point.
Hawn then experienced a second break-in four months later.
“I hear this big thump upstairs — and I was alone; Kurt wasn’t there — and I went, ‘What the hell was that?’” she explained.
“It was just like, was that a sonic boom? Did somebody jump somewhere? And as it turned out, the next day, we discovered that they were trying to get in my bedroom while I was in the house.”
The experience rattled Hawn enough that now she’s “… never without a guard.”
That’s nice and all—but what about the plebs who can’t afford security? I have a feeling Newsom would say something along the lines of “Let them be mugged,” while adjusting his powdered wig.
