Porn Site Launches Closed Captioning For The Hearing Impaired – Because The Dialogue TOTALLY Matters

Pornhub is trying to be more inclusive to people with hearing loss, so they are launching closed captioning.

This is wonderful news.

Now people of all hearing abilities will enjoy the sweaty sounds of two paid strangers going at it.

THIS IS HUGE FOR THE DEAF COMMUNITY.

According to Daily Mail:

Pornhub is taking steps to make X-rated videos more accessible to viewers with hearing loss.

The website, which is the most visited pornographic destination on the internet, announced on Wednesday the launch of its closed captioning category geared towards deaf and hard of hearing viewers.

In its inaugural closed-captioned selection, Pornhub will include more than 1,000 videos from its straight, gay, bi, transsexual, and ‘popular with women’ categories.

THEY’RE EVEN BEING SUPER INCLUSIVE WITH THEIR INCLUSIVITY. SWELL!

Clips included in the category will display ‘descriptive and interpretive’ text in order to improve the experience of viewers who are not able to hear the video’s original audio.

Descriptive?

I’m thinking something like *mind-numbingly gross gurgling noise*

Kinda like that?

Captions will provide information to enable them identify which character is talking, detailing emotional changes in their voices, and identifying non-vocal noises that are relevant to the storyline, Pornhub explained.

Non-vocal noises? So I wasn’t that far off with the gurgling noise, was I?

Also, I’m DYING about the “emotional changes in their voices” bit. That implies these people can act. Spoiler alert: if they could, they miiiiight not be doing porn.

Let’s be real, here. The vast majority of people using this will be teen boys who don’t want their moms to hear what they’re watching. Now they can mute it, and STILL know why Scarlet Danger needs after-school tutoring!
