TIME Is Standing By Its Misleading Cover

Talk about SHAMELESS.

TIME’s latest cover is misleading beyond belief. It shows a crying girl, who has become sort of the “face” of the whole child separation crisis on the border.

Just one problem: That little girl was never separated from her mother. In fact, the girl’s father said the mother ditched him and their other three children without even telling them. Again, she ditched her family and took $6,000 for someone to smuggle them across the border.

“I never got the chance to say goodbye to my daughter and now all I can do is wait,” the girl’s father said. “I don’t have any resentment for my wife, but I do think it was irresponsible of her to take the baby with her in her arms because we don’t know what could happen.”

She sounds totally selfish.

The left is trying to use this photo as a powerful symbol against Trump, but it’s based on a lie. The two were never separated. They’re together right now.

So. Is TIME going to issue a correction or– in the very LEAST– clarify?

That’ll be a big ol’ NOOOOOOOOOPE.

No it doesn’t, because THE GIRL WAS NEVER SEPARATED FROM HER MOTHER. TIME could’ve at least released an honest statement: “We stand by our #FakeNews.”
