Most mothers are sorely missed when they are gone.
…this one is most definitely not.
The internet is buzzing about what’s being considered one of the most ruthless obituaries of all time.
Check it out:
Paragraph 1: ok
Paragraph 2: ok
Paragraph 3: wait
Paragraph 4: OH
Paragraph 5: *airplane flies overhead with a banner reading WELCOME TO HELL MOM* pic.twitter.com/ppV45htrda— Stu (@RandBallsStu) June 5, 2018
‘She will not be missed by Gina and Jay, and they understand that this world is a better place without her.’
WOOF.
I can’t judge. I’ve been blessed with two incredibly loving parents. I don’t know what it feels like to be abandoned by your mother. I don’t know what kind of person that takes. It’s possible that she was a TRULY wretched woman that deserved this.
I don’t know.
…But others certainly have strong opinions on it.
According to Daily Mail:
A Minnesota woman who died at the age of 80 last week will not be missed by her family, who let the public know about it in a biting obituary.
Kathleen Dehmlow passed away on Thursday in Springfield, Minnesota.
According to her obituary in the Redwood Falls Gazette, she was not a very good person.
It states that after she married Dennis Dehmlow in 1957, the couple had two children, Gina and Jay.
Five years afterward, ‘she became pregnant by her husband’s brother Lyle Dehmlow and moved to California.’
‘She abandoned her children, Gina and Jay, who were then raised by her parents in Clements, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Schunk.
‘She passed away on May 31, 2018 in Springfield and will now face judgment.
‘She will not be missed by Gina and Jay, and they understand that this world is a better place without her.’
A photograph of the original obituary in the newspaper’s print edition made the rounds on Twitter, where it went viral.
The obit was shared by a Twitter user going by the name ‘Stu’ and was subsequently shared almost 20,000 times.
A majority of users poked fun at Kathleen’s romancing, and several more applauded Jay and Gina for not holding back with their ‘tribute’.
Gina and Jay have some feelings about things.

The power move was tracking down a recent picture.

However, a few were dismayed at the obituary and admonished the Redwood Falls Gazette for publishing it.
Question:
I wonder why the children weren’t raised by their father?
