Ok, I have a confession to make.

When I heard that the North Korean summit was canceled, my first thought was “Hmm. Wonder what will happen to those commemorative coins.”

I know, I know. I’m a weirdo.

BUT…If you wondered TOO…I’ve got an answer for ya!

They’re on clearance.

According to Daily Wire:

If you’re still in the market for a commemorative coin from the now-canceled North Korea summit, you’re in luck. Collectors items from the meeting-that-never-was are Thursday’s White House gift shop special.

According to CNBC reporter Christina Wilkie, the coin’s price has dropped a whopping $10, though supplies are limited, and there is a two month wait to receive your item.

I actually considered getting one.

I dunno… it’s kinda goofy. I thought it might be interesting years down the road, you know?

But it seems EVERYONE ELSE thought so too. I’m outta luck on this one.

Demand for the coin is so high, it has crashed the White House’s website.

Call me a traditionalist, but I tend not to mix North Korea in with my Christmas decor.

The White House Gift Shop website carries a disclaimer for the coin that notes that it will be minted regardless of the meeting’s success, because the theme of the summit was supposed to be “coming closer to peace,” and the Trump Administration is still committed to the peace process.
