This doesn’t SEEM like a controversial statement.

But it is. Of course it is.

Chance the Rapper isn’t some nobody trying to get some attention, either.

See that? 7.2 Million followers.

I’d venture to say that at LEAST 75% of them are liberals. (I’m being generous here.)

If you don’t think this has an impact… you’re wrong.

Part of what I really like about working for this website is that  I get to write about how IMPORTANT pop culture is in politics. When it comes culture war and exposing younger generations to Conservatism… we’ve got a long LONG way to go… and many are VERY resistant to it.

I was a huge liberal when I was younger, and honestly…  my idea of what it meant to be a Conservative was based SOLELY on what the liberal media told me it meant.  Unlike many Conservatives I know now, I didn’t grow up in a Conservative household. I didn’t have Conservative “role models.” I didn’t really realize there were other options or sources of information. The mainstream liberal media was the just the media to me. I didn’t realize how biased they were… and everyone I knew told me that Republicans were old, holier-than-though racists who hated me for being Hispanic… and I believed it. They believed it too. It’s a huge Echo chamber out there…

But you know what? Conservatives did VERY LITTLE to change my mind. No one ever reached out to me. I had to find Conservatism on my own.

VERY FEW CONSERVATIVES ARE ACTUALLY REACHING OUT TO YOUNG PEOPLE.

IT’S A LOT EASIER TO MOCK THEM ABOUT TIDE PODS.

So yeah. A bunch of people have their panties in a bunch about the Kanye thing because they’re not a fan and he’s just a stupid rapper.

Ok. I think he’s a nutcase too. I don’t know that he’s even a Conservative… but he’s exposing young people to a different train of thought.He’s exposing people to BRILLIANT conservatives like CANDACE OWENS.

That’s huge. Her words may resonate with someone… and change their lives. Just because KANYE. FREAKING. WEST tweeted about it.

So for those of you who are “annoyed” by this. How many young people have YOU exposed to Conservatism today? This month? Ever?

If you haven’t… Have you stopped to think that SOMEHOW freaking KANYE WEST has now done more to further the cause than you have?

Maybe not. But maybe it’s time to start considering what YOU can do.

The future of our nation depends on it.
