Notice that Dick’s was all “we support and respect the Second Amendment” but later added that we must “ban assault-style firearms.”

Dick’s can do whatever it wants, but it’s clear it’s pandering to those who probably wouldn’t even shop at the store in the first place anyway.

Whatever.

It gets worse. Dick’s is reportedly destroying all unsold firearms and accessories that were pulled from shelves after the Parkland massacre.

The Pittsburgh-based company revealed this week that instead of selling the firearms back to the manufacturer, they were going to destroy them instead.

‘We are in the process of destroying all firearms and accessories that are no longer for sale as a result of our February 28th policy change,’ a Dick’s spokeswoman told DailyMail.com.

‘We are destroying the firearms in accordance with federal guidelines and regulations.’

The rifles will be destroyed at the company’s distributions centers before the parts are recycled.

Dick’s Sporting Goods would not reveal how many guns were being destroyed.

I’m thinking it’s not TOO many, just because– as I’ve mentioned above– most main stores haven’t sold “assault-style rifles” in years anyway. But who cares! This will score ’em brownie points with libs, and that’s all that matters, right?
