This is getting real.
Earlier today, we found out that North Korea is getting ready to formally announce its willingness to denuclearize. Now, a LOT can change. Talk is cheap, but it’s still a sign of progress, so I’ll take it.
President Trump is expected to meet with Kim Jong-un in the coming months, and it sounds like they’ve already started engaging.

Trump confirmed that the United States is having direct talks with North Korea at “extremely high levels.”
“We have had direct talks at very high levels, extremely high levels with North Korea,” Trump told reporters today. “And I really believe there is a lot of good will, lot of good things are happening.”
Of course, he acknowledged that there’s still much more work to be done.
“Ultimately it’s the end result that counts, not the fact that we’re thinking about having a meeting or having it,” he added.
There are also reports floating around that Trump confirmed speaking directly to Kim Jong-un. However, it’s still unclear if he was responding to that specific question when he replied, “Yes.”
“Yes,” POTUS just said, when reporters just asked if he's been speaking DIRECTLY to Kim Jong Un.
Asked to clarify, Trump says "talks at the highest levels.”
Which confirms Bloomberg’s scoop that very top US officials have spoken with Kim.
