Well, this is an interesting development.
Word has it President Trump’s team is attempting to throw a potential deal Mueller’s way in hopes of ENDING this stupid probe once and for all.
NEWS: Trump’s legal team may tell Mueller he can interview the president if, among other considerations, he agrees to a timeline for ending the Trump-related portion of the Russia probe—for example, 60 days from the date of the interview. W/@PeterWSJ https://t.co/oW1LoFuP2D

Trump’s legal team is considering telling Mueller that he can interview Trump if Mueller commits to an end date for the Trump portion of the probe, among other considerations.
One idea is a deadline 60 days from the date of the interview, WSJ reports. https://t.co/TQDNe7jsG0

Trump legal team looking for deal with Mueller to bring end to investigation.
May offer Trump interview in exchange.
Don't do it!
Do not talk to Mueller team… period!!https://t.co/09f2vvt8Pn

Legal experts are skeptical Mueller would agree to any timeline. “Someone could walk in the door + say, ‘I’ve got some information that’s going to blow your minds.’ … Mueller’s going to say, ‘Oh, too bad, the deadline’s tomorrow?’”

TRUMP LAWYERS ARE SAID TO SEEK DEAL WITH MUELLER: WSJ

He has said he is ‘looking forward’ to talking with special counsel Robert Mueller, but now President Trump‘s lawyers are trying to leverage a sit-down to negotiate an end to the sprawling Russia probe.
Trump’s lawyers have been negotiating for weeks with special counsel Robert Mueller, whose investigators want Trump to sit for an interview.
The president has indicated a willingness to cooperate, despite conflicting accounts on whether it is a shrewd move for Trump, who has a history of making false statements and exaggerations in court depositions, to go on record with investigators.
Now, Trump’s lawyers are trying to leverage his participation in hopes of securing a commitment to wrap up the investigation, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Trump is considering a sit-down in exchange for ‘multiple’ considerations, according to the report.
Let’s hope they reach a deal, because a $10 million yearly budget (that’s it FOR REAL) is utterly obscene.
One is to secure an end date for the Russia probe –at least the part dealing with Trump – which has led to a series of guilty pleas and a flood of damaging headlines about ties between former Trump officials and Russia, as well as financial misdeeds and lying to investigators.
Another is to suggest a deadline for an end of the probe at 60 days after the interview.
End the stupid probe. It’s waste of time and money. There’s no collusion.
Don’t worry about Maxine Waters. I’m sure she’ll find something else to screech about.
