Mock and I didn’t celebrate International Women’s Day. Personally, I think it’s kind of a dumb day – like Valentine’s Day. Or National Kumquat Day. (Just kidding – I think National Kumquat Day is a day of EPIC importance, and it happens to be November 7th, so mark your calendars, everyone, because we are going to THROW THE &*$^ DOWN.)
International Women’s Day is yet another reason for feminists to look around and say, “yaaaaay us! Laaaaaaaadyparts!”
So what? I’ve never understood these days or all the hashtags or the marches. I’ve always been kinda heads-down, working, building my life, my brand, my empire, or just living the dream. Because I legit know that I live in the most amazing country on the planet, and I thank God that I’m an American woman able to do what I do every single day. There’s no other place I’d rather be. Period. In America, especially, EVERY DAY is women’s day. End of story.
But it’s a day, and people hashtag it and celebrate, and then talk about how we still have a long way to go in being equal and complain about all the rights we may be losing. No one’s ever been able to tell me what those are, but that’s neither here nor there, I suppose…
CNN got in on the action, of course, and did a little compilation thingamajig, where they asked a bunch of women about what could be better and how men and women can be more equal. Because nothing is ever good enough. There’s always stuff wrong with us as American men and women. You know. We’re so flawed as a country and whatnot.
Sigh.
And, seeing as how it’s CNN, they didn’t disappoint. Right smack dab in the middle of their little compilation video, who else would they get to speak about women’s struggle and experience and essence than someone who’s really LIVED IT? The person who knows everything there IS about being a woman? Naturally, liberals’ choice for courage and WOMAN OF THE YEAR, dontchaknow.
Behold:
“Women are brought up to kind of be a second-class citizen” says @Caitlyn_Jenner #IWD2018 #AsEquals https://t.co/uDVa3hOfdO pic.twitter.com/WkZDBe3Hhr

First, Caitlyn is wrong. Women are NOT brought up to be second-class citizens. Not in America. In Saudi Arabia, yes. In China, maybe. But not here in America. And definitely not in my house. Maybe Caitlyn’s speaking from personal experience? Where his daughters and stepdaughters have been used as props for personal financial gain, until they were old enough to not really know any better?
I’ll wait over here.
I’m not sure if Caitlyn knows this, but more women are likely to have college degrees now than men. And if you spew nonsense to me about the wage gap in the comments below, you obviously haven’t read our gazillion posts debunking that. Do yourself a favor, search for those, and save us all some time, pretty please.
Second, a decision, cosmetic surgery, some makeup and clothing does not a woman make.
And just like that, the notion of me actually taking this hashtagged holiday seriously for a millisecond disappears once again.
Bravo, CNN.
