Nancy Pelosi Says Politicians Could Learn A Thing Or Two From Drag Queens

For some reason completely beyond me, Nancy Pelosi got to be a guest judge on the newest season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” You know. Because she has time for that sort of thing.

Here’s hoping none of us ever have to hear Pelosi say “you betta werk” IRL.

The Hollywood Reporter is on a roll. First, it pumped out that embarrassing beta male cover, and now this?

They interviewed Pelosi and asked her some freaking ridiculous questions, and the worst part is, she entertained them.

“What could politicians learn from drag queens?”

That was an actual question, and Pelosi actually had an answer.

“Authenticity,” she said. “Taking pride in who you are. Knowing your power — that’s what I talk about on my brief segment on the show. This idea of people believing in themselves, being themselves, taking pride in themselves, is not just a lesson for politicians but for everyone in the country. And that’s why I was so excited and couldn’t resist being on the show.”

Pelosi is actually suggesting that politicians should take tips from drag queens. This is not a drill.

The Hollywood Reporter also asked Pelosi if she thought about what her drag name would be. Thankfully, she said no.

This question was particularly pathetic.

“What about a song you’d like to challenge Donald Trump to in a ‘Lip Sync For Your Life?'”

Seriously?

“You know what? Donald Trump’s policies, the respect I think his administration should have for the LGBTQ community, that’s more important than the fun we might have about his hair or any song he might lip sync,” she said. “Though I do think he’s lip syncing some of his policies, because when you talk to him, he says, ‘I really am with you on this.” And then his policy goes and does something else.'”

Someone please tell me what Donald Trump has done to hurt the LGBT community. I’ll wait.

The final question was dripping with butthurt.

“Finally, on a scale of 1-10, how badly do you want to say ‘sashay away’ to Donald Trump?”

Pelosi laughed and said, “It goes well beyond 10.”

So there you have it. Pelosi believes politicians should take some tips from drag queens. That was an Actual Conversation that happened.
