‘State Of The Uniom’? SOTU Tickets Had To Be Reprinted Due To Unfortunate Spelling Error

Well, this is an unfortunate mistake.

Tickets for the State of the Union had to be reprinted at the last minute, due to an embarrassing spelling error.

“State of the Uniom.”

The House Sergeant at Arms is responsible for printing and distributing the tickets.

A spokesman for the House Sergeant at Arms office told The Hill that the misprint had been corrected, and that the tickets were in the process of being recalled and reprinted.

The spokesman said that the typo was not impacting the distribution of the tickets.

How does that happen? I mean, the “n” and “m” are right next to each other on the keyboard, but still. Not ONE person noticed before it came time to print?
