Democrats Are Ticked That Chuck Schumer ‘Sold Out’

As we reported earlier, Sen. Chuck Schumer caved and decided to end the #SchumerShutdown. It’s really funny watching Schumer trying to take credit for some huge breakthrough on bipartisanship. Democrats didn’t get anything. If anything, he only proved that Democrats shut the government down for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

They didn’t get a DACA deal in this measure. They’re going to debate DACA and immigration later on. That was the original plan. Does he realize that?

We will vote today to reopen the government, to continue negotiating a global agreement, with the commitment that, if an agreement is not reached by Feb 8th, the Senate will immediately proceed to consideration of legislation dealing with DACA. The process will be neutral & fair.

I expect @SenateMajLdr to fulfill his commitment to the Senate & abide by this agreement. If he does not honor our agreement, he will have breached the trust of not only the Democratic Senators but the members of his own party as well.

Adorable. The shutdown had nothing to do with Trump and everything to do with Schumer throwing a fit about illegal immigrants. Everyone knows that. What changed here? NOTHING. Democrats didn’t get a darn thing. They got a promise to have a debate, which was going to happen anyway.

It’s OK. Let Chuck think he did something marvelous. Everyone knows the truth. Even those on his own side.
