You know… I’d be a lot less bothered by the Democrats’ supposed “compassion for immigrants” if I didn’t think it was complete BULL.

I moved to the US from Mexico when I was 12. While I was born a citizen because of my father, I watched my mother go through the entire legal immigration process.

Let me tell you… it’s not easy. It’s incredibly expensive and time-consuming. So while I am very much against illegal immigration, I do feel for those who want to make a better life for themselves and their families in America.

I feel entirely blessed to have that opportunity myself.

All that being said… the Democrats grandstanding about illegal immigrants is just that… it’s grandstanding. It’s fluff. They don’t really give a rat’s. They just want the votes.

They’ll say whateeeever gets them the most votes. Every. Single. Time.

Please, someone explain how saying illegal immigrants should not get special privileges in this country now makes conservatives “racist.” Chuck USED to say that very same thing.

Many of us LEFT our home countries because the lack of law and order makes it very difficult to move ahead. Legal immigrants strive to LEAVE lawlessness.

This nation owes it to its citizens, both the old and the new, to protect their rights and safety above all else.

It may be harsh, but there’s no other way. A nation that chooses to ignore its own laws will turn into the very thing immigrants are trying to escape.
