A new court filing evidences that Special Counsel David Weiss plans to indict Hunter Biden before the completion of September.
Can we please keep this at everyone’s forefront before the media attempts to distract the American people with another charade, for the love of God?!
Regarding United States of America v. Robert Hunter Biden, Criminal Action No. 23-cr-00061-MN, Weiss wrote:
The United States, by and through its undersigned attorneys, submits this status report
pursuant to the Court’s oral order that, “In view of the Speedy Trial Act, IT IS HEREBY
ORDERED that, on or before Wednesday, September 6, 2023, the parties are directed to provide
the Court with an update on the status of this case, including any steps that they believe the Court needs to take.” ECF 36, issued August 31, 2023.
Because the proposed diversion agreement was provided to the Court on June 8, 2023, that agreement was under advisement from the date the case was formally initiated via information on June 20, 2023, up to and through the hearing on July 26, 2023—including when the summons was executed on June 23, 2023. Thirty days from the execution of the summons should therefore be excluded, meaning that the Speedy Trial Act’s “clock,” as its often referred, began to run on July 24, 2023. The Court also excluded time from July 26, 2023, to September 1, 2023, in the interests of justice. Thus, from June 23, 2023, until September 1, 2023, only two days, July 24 and 25, 2023, have elapsed for the purposes of calculating the 30 days within which an indictment must be returned after the execution of a summons. Thus, the Speedy Trial Act requires that the Government obtain the return of an indictment by a grand jury by Friday, September 29, 2023, at the earliest.
In simple terms, the federal Speedy Trial Act sets a clock ticking from the time you’re charged until your trial begins. This clock ensures that your case doesn’t get lost in the shuffle, and it’s meant to prevent unnecessary delays. If the government can’t get its act together within a reasonable time, your case might get dismissed.
Ultimately, the Speedy Trial Act is like a reminder to the justice system that people deserve a fair shot at proving their innocence or accepting responsibility for their actions without being stuck in legal limbo forever.
While the specific charges aren’t outlined in this writing, word on the street is that it’s regarding the gun charges on Hunter Biden’s record.
Hmm I wonder if that’s why COVID concerns are coming back to bite us again.
Perhaps this will result in being nothing more than controlled opposition, but I choose to remain hopeful.
