MSM’s Bizarre Criticisms Of ‘Sound Of Freedom’ Are Rather Suspect

I’m honestly not sure why the mainstream media would want to discredit an inspiring movie about the horrific child sex trafficking crisis gripping both our nation and the world. It’s rather suspicious, if you ask me. Like are they for child sex trafficking? Do they not like that people are becoming more aware of the problem and inspired to force change? Do they not appreciate the attention it’s getting and feel the need to discredit whatever it is that’s bring that attention? Why else would they be so intent on discrediting the film? Just seems so weird to me.

Regardless of what I think about their motives, here’s what they did and you draw your own conclusions. The Washington Post ran a whole story trashing the film as “low-budget” (it beat Disney’s new Indiana Jones, so I guess budget isn’t everything) and discrediting it because “its star, Jim Caviezel, has linked it to the QAnon movement.” Apparently, Caviezel has “openly embraced the extreme movement,” which I guess gives WaPo license to discredit the entire film as basically a ridiculous QAnon conspiracy? That’s a ridiculous notion.

In fact, check out how Washington Post treated two film stars who both have what could be called “extremist” views. In case you somehow didn’t know, Tom Cruise is a hardcore scientology cultist.

And it wasn’t just WaPo. The Guardian called the film “the QAnon-adjacent thriller seducing America,” describing it as “a paranoid new movie.” Which tells me they have no real idea about the seriousness of the child sex trafficking crisis, if they think this movie is just “paranoid.”

Even Media Matters for America sounded off about the movie, saying it “offers little more than a fever swamp of right-wing conspiracy theories.”
