NYC Mayor Adams Lied About Carrying Slain Police Officer’s Picture In Wallet, Faked The Whole Thing

This story really is next level. New York City Mayor Eric Adams didn’t just lie to everyone repeatedly and for months about carrying around a picture of a slain police officer in his wallet. He went so far as to have his staff create such a picture, which never existed when he talked about it, to back up his made-up story.

The New York Times, who previously ran an article about the moving (fake) story and the (fake) picture in question, explained that after Mayor Adams made the moving (fake) claim about always carrying around a picture of slain Officer Venable in his wallet, the Mayor then had to have staff essentially make a counterfeit photo that he could use for photo ops to keep the lie alive because people wanted to see the picture.

“The employees were instructed to create a photo of Officer Venable, according to a person familiar with the request. A picture of the officer was found on Google; it was printed in black-and-white and made to look worn as if the mayor had been carrying it for some time, including by splashing some coffee on it.”

Y’all, they actually did an arts and crafts project to protect the blatant lie Adams told to garner public sympathy and support in his new political position when he told a blatant lie.

I’m old enough to remember when New York conservative politician George Santos was recently exposed as having lied about a number of things from his life to benefit his political image, and he was epically roasted by society, politicians, and the media for lying to the public about the details of his life. But my guess is that they’ll say that Mayor Adams’ lie is (D)ifferent, if you know what I mean.
