We’ve recently heard rumors that the White House is crafting a plan to get rid of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. According to the report, Trump would replace Tillerson with CIA director Mike Pompeo, and Sen. Tom Cotton would replace Pompeo.
You follow?
Again, that report is from the New York Times, so who really knows. I wish we could totally trust them, but you know how it goes.
Reporters asked Trump about the report, and he simply responded, “He’s here. Rex is here.”
Sarah Sanders responded by saying, “When the President loses confidence in someone, they will no longer serve here.”

Interesting answers. Kind of leaves the door open, don’t you think?
I don’t know. Tillerson doesn’t seem too concerned. He responded to the report on Friday, calling the entire thing “laughable.”
“It’s laughable,” he said. “It’s laughable.”
As of Thursday, Tillerson had not discussed the Times report with Trump, Nauert said. She acknowledged that Trump and Tillerson have policy disagreements but insisted the president respects his chief diplomat.
“I know that they’ve had certainly a cordial relationship,” she said. “Where that relationship is today, I can’t speak to that.”
What do you think? Is it “laughable,” or is there something to it?

Update!
The media has been speculating that I fired Rex Tillerson or that he would be leaving soon – FAKE NEWS! He’s not leaving and while we disagree on certain subjects, (I call the final shots) we work well together and America is highly respected again!https://t.co/FrqiPLFJ1E
