I think it’s kind of ridiculous how people lose their sh*t every time a white person sings along to a rap song that uses the n-word.
Um… you realize that person didn’t write the song, right? They’re literally just singing along to something that already exists.
“Well black people CAN say the n-word but white people can’t or they’re LITERALLY the KKK.”
Really? You think a bunch of supermodels are the KKK? NEWSFLASH: The KKK wouldn’t be caught DEAD rapping along to Cardi B. They’re probably outlawed rap altogether in their little KKK handbook. So uhhh…. yeah. You’re wrong.
There’s a few solutions: 1) people can stop using the n-word in music. 2) White people can stop listening to rap.
The rap industry soooort of kiiiiind of needs white people’s money, so while I hate rap and rap culture, and personally vote for option 2, option 2 is probably also “racist” or something. You know, because if you don’t LOVE rap you’re not supporting black people and you’re a racist. But you’re also a racist if you sing along. Basically keep your white mouth shut and hand over your money.
A group of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show models have been slammed after a video emerged appearing to show several of the young women saying the N-word while singing along to rapper Cardi B’s hit song ‘Bodak Yellow.’
The short clip shows several models, most of whom appear to be white, dancing around in their custom made robes backstage before the show in Shanghai to the chart topping song and rap the lyric: ‘I don’t wanna choose / And I’m quick, cut a n***a off, so don’t get comfortable.’
It’s unclear exactly which women are rapping in the video, since it pans around the room. But it starts by showing model Karlie Kloss for a few seconds; it’s unclear if she rapped in the video.
The footage was posted by a Twitter account called Pop Crave on Tuesday, with many social media users slamming the models and condemning their use of the word.
OMG! WHITE GIRLS SANG ALONG TO A SONG ABOUT HOW A BLACK STRIPPER BECAME A MILLIONAIRE. (Yes. that’s literally what ‘Bodak Yellow’ is about)
Watch for yourself:
Wow. Certified KKK rally up in there.
So no, I DON’T think white people should use the n-word… because I don’t think anyone should. But to people freaking out… promptly remove the stick from your a** and realize that words are words… what matters is intent…. and I’d be BLOWN AWAY if these chicks had any intent other than to rap along to this god awful song.
