I’ve seen a bunch of anti-Thanskgiving stuff on my Facebook feed in the last few days….
As I’ve mentioned many times, I used to be very liberal, and still have many people in my immediate circle who are.
Here’s one of the most upsetting posts I’ve seen. I’ve kept the original poster’s name out because I’m not trying to shame them. I’m also using “they” as a pronoun because I don’t intend to reveal their identity in any way… I’m just showing you an example of what I’m seeing on my Facebook wall:

I did make a comment, and I hope it resonates… but we’ll see.
This person moved to the US as a teenager… and so did I.
My family celebrates Thanksgiving. Yes, my Mexican family, too. On this day, like all Americans, we celebrate all that we’re grateful for. For me, one of the most important things to celebrate is the blessing of living in America. I could not be more grateful for this country, and the incredible opportunities it has laid at my feet.
Of course, it has been up to me to make those opportunities into reality… that’s what people don’t get. The opportunity is there. Run with it!
I don’t entirely blame the person above… I know them, and I don’t think they mean harm. I think they truly believe this is the “right and just” thing to say. This attitude is basically being taught in public schools at this point. I DO blame the society that has taught them to feel this way. They’ve been entirely indoctrinated with liberal hatred for our nation and our customs… and I hope they wake up to reality of WHY their family brought them to this country. Their family celebrates… maybe someday they’ll get it, too.
Maybe this will help:
